processProduction Information & Building Regulation Plan Assessment Application: It is normally prudent to secure planning approval before proceeding to the stage of producing the detailed working drawings and specifications (production information) as the planning department may stipulate changes to the scheme design or refuse permission altogether. Scheme designs that gain planning approval are developed into detailed working drawings with specifications to satisfy the requirements of the current Building Regulations. An application is made to the local council building control department for assessment of the plans.
