Surveys and Outline Proposals:
Once formally appointed, the first stage is to carry out
either a topographical survey of the site, a measured survey of
the existing building, a condition survey of the building or a
combination of all three.
The surveys provide important information about the site
and / or the premises and form the base upon which proposals
are developed.
Basic outline proposals are produced in line with the
Client's design brief (requirements) for discussion purposes.
Exploring different options at this stage is time well spent,
especially if done in conjunction with construction cost
estimates.
