processTender Documentation & Tender Action Should the Client employ a chartered quantity surveyor / construction cost consultant to prepare pre-tender estimates, produce bills of quantities, carry out tender action, etc. Gary will be happy to liaise with and co-operate with the consultant. However, should the Client decide not to employ a chartered quantity surveyor / construction cost consultant, then Gary can tender the project on the basis of a descriptive pricing schedule and detailed drawings (the tender documents). Contractors (who have been selected with Gary's assistance and approved by the Client) are furnished with the tender documents and invited to price the project. Alternatively, a price can be negotiated with a single contractor of the Client's choosing. Tenders are examined and assistance is given in the selection of a suitable builder to execute the work.  |
